Most expensive chocolate pudding: Chef Marc Guibert sets world record (Video) Windermere, Cumbria, UK -- Marc Guibert, head chef at Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel in Windermere, Cumbria, has cooked up a chocolate pudding made with four different types of the finest Belgian chocolate flavoured with a combination of peach, orange and whiskey; its lavish list of ingredients, which include gold, champagne caviar and a two-carat diamond and sells for $34,440 (22,000 pounds) - setting the new world record for the Most expensive chocolate pudding, according to World Record Academy (www.worldrecordacademy.com).

The Guinness world record for the most expensive chocolate is Amedei Porcelana, priced at $90 (then £52) per 450 g (1 lb). It is the first chocolate in the world made from cocoa beans of a single variety.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most valuable chocolate bar in the world is a 100-year old Cadbury's chocolate bar which went on Captain Robert Scott's first Discovery expedition (1901-1904) to the Antarctic. The bar, which is 10 cm (4 in) long, wrapped and uneaten in a cigarette tin, was bought for £470 ($687) by an anonymous buyer at Christie's, London, UK.
Styled like a Faberge Easter egg, the chocolate concoction have battered all previous records with its lavish list of ingredients, which include gold, champagne caviar and a two-carat diamond.
The pudding is made with four different types of the finest Belgian chocolate flavoured with a combination of peach, orange and whiskey.
At £22,000, the dessert easily breaks the Guinness world record currently held by New York's Serendipity 3 Restaurant which has a pudding priced at £12,000.

But the cherry on top of the edible masterpiece is a two carat diamond.
It also comes with one of the most expensive bottles of dessert wine you can buy, Chateau d'Yquem, which is priced at around £500 per bottle.
"Marc has used all of his culinary talents to whip up a truly incredible concoction of chocolate, champagne and gold leaf, all topped off with a diamond," the Daily Mail quoted Stephen Broughton, managing director of Lindeth Howe, as saying.
