Largest Dessert Party: Tanger Outlet Centers set world record (HD Video)
GREENSBORO, N.C., USA -- Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. (NYSE:SKT) announced that as part of the events launched to officially mark the company's 30th year of business, it set two World Records: the World's Largest Dessert Party was set by Tanger Outlet Centers at 6,997 participants;
the Tanger Outlet Center in Foley, Alabama also set the World Record for an Individual Dessert Party: Tanger's center in Foley managed to consolidate into a single space 553 celebrants.

The Guinness world record for the The largest toga party consisted of 2,166 participants in Cottage Grove, Oregon, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the largest pot luck party, achieved by 479 participants, in an event organised by Slideluck Potshow (USA) in the Old Tobacco Warehouse, New York, USA.
Tanger celebrated 30 years of great deals so at their outlet malls across the country, they gave away treats, trying to break the world record for the largest dessert party.
Tanger personnel and guests who gathered on the floor and Executive Boardroom of the New York Stock Exchange, at the company's headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina, and at each of Tanger Outlet Centers' 34 outlet shopping centers in 22 states;

Tanger, owner of 34 U.S. outlet centers, disclosed in its quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission this week that it has contracted to buy three outlet centers for nearly $400 million in total.
