The Guinness world record for the longest ice cream dessert was a sundae measuring 39.77 m (130 ft 6 in) prepared by The Kids Club (USA) in Brunswick, Georgia, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Longest career as an ice-cream man, set by Charlie D'Angelo of Clifton, New Jersey, USA, who has been working as an ice-cream man non-stop for 30 years in his Iggy's Igloo ice-cream truck.
They started with 42 gallons of Nelson's Vanilla Ice Cream, 18 cans of whipped cream, 21 bottles of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup and four, 1-gallon containers of maraschino cherries.
About 400 feet of benches were laid out end-to-end on one of the camp's athletic fields. As quickly as possible, staffers transported the sundaes there using vehicles and carrying by hand.
Even more quickly, since sun and heat were starting to take their toll on the now-melting treats, they placed the individual containers along the benches, still working as campers started congregating and receiving instructions.
