Longest Dodgeball Game: Toronto players sets world record
Toronto, CANADA -- Twenty local players played dodgeball for thirty-six-hour during an event organized by Helder Brum, to raise money as part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation's A Dare to Remember campaign, with the proceeds to go towards battling AIDS in Africa; they set the new world record for the Longest Dodgeball Game.

The previous Guinness world record for the longest marathon playing dodgeball was 31 hr 11 min 13 sec by the teams Hometown Dodgeball and Albany Dodgeball (both USA) at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, New York, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized
the world record for The largest game of dodgeball, which was achieved by 1,745 participants at an event organized by UC Irvine (USA) at Bren Sports Center in Irvine, California, USA.
As part of the Guinness Book of World Record Rules, the players are only allowed five minute breaks each hour they play, which will only provide enough time for bathroom breaks, said Brum.

36 hours and 45 minutes with extra time added on because of some technical difficulties at the outset.
They realized about 140 minutes in that someone might not have pressed the record button on the video camera.
More than four thousand dollars was raised for the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
