Farthest distance on a snowmobile on water: Antti Holmberg breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)
IVALO, Finland -- The European Watercross Champion, Antti Holmberg, rode a total distance of 111.9 miles on a water-prepped Ski-Doo to break the Guinness World Records' record; he rode from Ivalo, Finland to Inari and back on connecting lakes and rivers; the total distance of 111.9 miles (180km) took him around 3 hours with an average speed of 37.03 mph (60km), which is the new world record for the Farthest distance on a snowmobile on water,

The Guinness World Records' record for the farthest distance on a snowmobile on water is 69.28 km (43.3 miles) and was achieved by Kyle Nelson (CAN) on the Cowan Lake, Canada.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest parade of snowmobiles consisted of 820 snowmobiles which completed a 46.6 km (29 mile) course at Roseau, Minnesota, USA.
Holmberg secured his world record after driving a distance of 180km from the small Finish town of Ivalo to Inari and back via connecting rivers and lakes.
Holmberg smashed the previous Guinness world record of just 64 kilometres.
Antti Holmberg rode a total distance of 111.9 miles on a water-prepped Ski-Doo to set a new World Record. It took him three hours and he averaged 37mph.
He had a 15-gallon tank, a 5-gallon backup and had to get about a 1.5-gallon fill-up while he was riding from a watercraft.
