The Guinness world record for the Largest cruise ship was set by MS Allure of the Seas, measuring 362 m (1,187 ft) long, 66 m (215 ft) wide and weighing 225,282 gross tonnage.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest Travel Agency, set by Uniglobe Travel International, with branches in over sixty countries across six continents and with annual revenues of $5 billion.

The trip, which starts in London and takes in 28 countries, is the most expensive cruise ever sold.

Strictly for the well-heeled, the 115-day cruise takes in 52 ports in 28 countries, with guests enjoying the height of luxury.

The ultimate luxury holiday cruise comes complete with caviar, helicopters and a Michelin starred chef - all for the price of more than $1.6 million per couple.

Travellers will begin with a helicopter ride to a London airport, enjoying £4,000-a-kilogram Beluga caviar, Dom Perignon champagne and Da Hong Pao Tea, which costs £2,000-a-kilogram.

After a private flight to the US with its own Michelin-starred chef, guests will be driven by Rolls-Royce to a Beverly Hills hotel for a four-night stay in its top suite all before even setting sail.

The package from Six Star Cruises continues on board Silversea's Silver Whisper, where staff will offer a glass of champagne before setting off to a tour of the globe including French Polynesia, Australia, Mauritius and South Africa, Barbados and Miami, Florida.

Accommodation includes the Royal Suite, with two 1,000 sq ft bedrooms, marbled bathrooms and spacious verandas.

Guests can choose from nine different types of pillow and have the use of a butler.

Fine dining is provided by Relais and Chateaux chefs while afternoon canapés are available on demand.

Back on dry land, passengers will disembark to four nights in a £7,300-a-night apartment with cinema and butler before flying back by private jet.

Mal Barritt, company director, said:"We have listened to what some of our most discerning customers say they look for in a holiday and have created the most desirable cruise holiday in the world."
