Organizer George Trosset said last year, he went surfing alone as Santa Claus. This year, he thought it would be fun to invite some friends to join him.
"The surf is a little bigger than I hoped," said Trosset.
"It's about 4 to 6 feet. I have a good feeling there are going to be a lot of Santa parts on the beach when we are done."
The surfin' Santas simply said they were just looking to have some Christmas fun, and hope the event grows every year.
The Guinness world record for the most Santa Claus' distributing gifts simultaneously was achieved by 3,939 participants, in the Constitutei Square in Bucarest, Romania.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Most consecutive days surfing, set by Dale Webster (USA), who passed his 10,407th consecutive day of surfing on 29 February 2004.
