Largest Rubik's Cube mosaic: Cube Works Studio breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)
MACAU, China -- Toronto-based CubeWorks Studio has used 85,794 rubik cubes to create a giant mosaic; the 13-foot-high, 200-foot-wide artwork was installed in sections on the Macau waterfront, setting the new world record for the Largest Rubik's Cube mosaic,

The previous Guinness world record for the largest Rubik's Cube mosaic was 8.78 m (28 ft 10 in) by 4.44 m (14 ft 7 in) and was created by Cube Works Studio (Canada). The mosaic was exhibited at the Cube Works Gallery in Toronto, Canada.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people solving Rubik's cubes simultaneously: 1,451 - achieved by Depaul UK at the O2 Arena in London, UK.
A professional crew of 20 people has assembled thousands of pixel art icons which were transformed from art paintings and photos.
This is the third time that Cube Works Studio has set a record for the world's largest Rubik's Cube mosaic.
The studio is planning to create bigger projects in the near future.
