The Guinness world record for the largest water balloon fight was achieved by 3,927 participants at an event organised by Brigham Young University (USA) in Provo, Utah, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest balloon chain measured 20,024 m (65,695 ft 4.88 in) and was achieved by Future Generali India Life Insurance Co. Ltd. & Future Value Retail Ltd. (Big Bazaar) in association with G2rams India Pvt. Ltd. (all India), in Mumbai, India.
Organizer Reid Wahlbrink told The Kentucky Kernal the event marked the third time the CSF has set the world record for the world's largest water balloon fight.
"I've been a part of the production every year," Wahlbrink said. "It's getting bigger every year with more people and more balloons."
Last year they set the Guinness world world record for the largest water balloon fight, as 8,957 people tossed 175,141 water balloons at each other.
"A lot of people ask us 'Why do you guys do this every year?' and it's just a way to let a lot of people – 9,000 people – know about (CSF) right off of the bat," Wahlbrink said.
"We're a Christian ministry on campus, and we're here for U.K. students."
