Most model rockets launched simultaneously: Chesterfield Teens Break Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va., USA -- Two high school students in Chesterfield, Sanzio Angili, 17, and Dylan Whitesel, 18, broke a Guinness World Recods' world record by launching 3,973 model rockets at the same time, during Rocket4theCure, a campaign created by seniors Sanzio Angili and Dylan Whitesel to raise $20,000 for breast cancer research and awareness, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness World Records' record for the most water rockets launched simultaneously is 1,056 and was achieved by students at Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Kung Yik She Secondary School (China) in Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong, China on 7 December 2013.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most firework rockets launched in 30 seconds; it is 125,801, in an attempt organised by Pyroworks International Inc. (Philippines), in Cebu, Philippines, on 8 May 2010.
The two friends have been working on building the rockets for a couple of months, getting help from fellow students, family and community members, The ABC 8 News reported.
Each rocket cost $10 to sponsor, many carrying names in memory or honor of someone who's had to battle cancer.
The money will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The previous Guinness World Records world record was 3,130 rockets launched at the same time.
