Most people dancing with hula hoops: Thailand breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)
Bangkok, Thailand -- More than 4,483 participants gathered at Thammasat University's stadium and successfully hula-hooped simultaneously for seven minutes, during an event organized by CA Infomedia and the Public Health Ministry's Department of Health, setting the new world record for the Most people dancing with hula hoops,

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest human chain to pass a hula hoop, set by 197 participants and achieved by Camp Cassey at the Bear-Glasgow YMCA (USA) in Newark, Delaware, USA.
The Guinness world record for the largest hula hoop workout consisted of 290 participants at an event organised by Michelle Clinage (USA) at Allen Elementary School in Hutchinson, Kansas, USA.
The world record attempt drew more than 5,000 participants to an open air stadium at Thammasat University's Rangsit campus, but 517 contestants dropped off after they failed to keep their hoops up.
Taiwan set the previous Guinness world record for mass hula-hooping in 2011, with about 3,000 participants hula-hooping for five minutes.
The event was organised by the Thai government to try and encourage people to keep fit.
The contestants swung their hula hoops continuously for seven minutes at an open air stadium.
