Geiselhoering,GERMANY -- 16 divers - who worked in shifts so they could change oxygen tanks - sat on the bottom of a pool, playing a favourite local game called 'sheepshead' and
setting the world record for the Longest underwater card game.

The Guinness world record for the The longest card playing marathon is 125 hr 27 min and was achieved by Andreas Maurer, Harald Liebhaber, Markus Schnell, Simone Blaser, Stephan Schnell and Walter Köppl (all Germany) who played Schafkopf in Raubling, Germany.
Guinness World Records also recognized the largest card game tournament, which consisted of 1,146 pairs playing Mus and was achieved by El Correo, in Bilbao, Vizcaya, Spain.
The 16 divers - who worked in shifts so they could change oxygen tanks - sat on the bottom of a pool in Geiselhoering, Germany, playing a favourite local game called 'sheepshead'.
Organiser Eric Schlegelmilch said: 'We gave up counting who owed what after an hour. We didn't want anyone going belly up.'
