Most People Opening Bottles in a Relay: Sheraton Macao Hotel breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)
MACAU, China -- Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, the world's largest Sheraton and Macau's biggest hotel, officially launched its first authentic Oktoberfest within Cotai Strip Resorts Macao; the highlight of the opening ceremony was the successful attempt at breaking the Guinness World Records' record for the Most people opening bottles in a relay, where Sheraton Macao Hotel's guests and associates, together with the local community, joined forces as a 455-strong team, setting the new world record for the Most people opening bottles in a relay,
according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The previous Guinness World Records' record for the most people opening bottles in a relay was achieved by 398 participants and organized by Harbin KK Beer (China) in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, on 16 May 2013.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest beer tasting; it involved 267 participants and was organised by Biergilde BNB (Netherlands) in Arcen, Netherlands.
"Since the opening of Sheraton Macao Hotel we have introduced many exciting experiences for guests of all ages, including families. In less than a year of our grand opening, we welcomed our one millionth guest in August and won three prestigious hospitality awards.
"Tonight, our hotel guests and associates together with the local community made a successful attempt in breaking the Guinness World Records' record for the Most people opening bottles in a relay, helping to achieve yet another milestone for Sheraton Macao Hotel," said Ms. Ruth Boston, Sheraton Macao Hotel's General Manager of Sales & Marketing.
Ms Boston added, "In launching the Sheraton Macao Hotel's Oktoberfest, we are creating a great social gathering place for families, friends and work colleagues, to come together and share the most authentic Bavarian experience without making a trip to Germany."
