jump on roller skates - Taig Khris sets world
record PARIS, France -- French extreme in-line
skating champion Taig Khris (a.k.a the 'ramp warrior')
launched himself off the first floor of the Eiffel Tower some
40 metres above ground onto a quarterpipe, with a freefall
of 41 feet (12.5 metres) - setting the new world record for
the Highest
jump on roller skates.
Thousands of people gathered to watch the
French daredevil roller skater drop from the first level of
the Eiffel Tower and onto a high skate ramp.
After completing theWorld's Highest
jump on roller skates, he said:"Two years non-stop,
I didn't sleep for nights and nights for that small moment
up there and now, as you can see, I made it so that's cool."
"I've never had such a strong adrenaline
rush," he told AFP after the vertiginous jump.
The
previous Guinness world record for the Highest
jump on roller skates was the 8.53-metre world record
set by American Danny Way.
Khris adds the accomplishment to countless
wins in the world championships and X-Games.
Taig
Khris said he made the jump "to give people the desire
to reach beyond their limits, to follow their passions, their
dreams."
