 Fastest vehicle drift: Jakub Przygoński broke Guinness world record (VIDEO)


 
Biata Podlaska, Poland -- Poland's ORLEN Team along with drifter Kuba Przygonski took a heavily-modified Toyota GT 86 packing close to 1,100 horsepower to a former military base in Biata Podlaska, Poland, to break a Guinness World Records' record; Przygonski was able to successfully drift the Japanese drift car at 217.973 km/h (135.44 mph),

 The previous Guinness World Records' record for the fastest vehicle drift was 179.59 km/h (111.59 mph), achieved by Lars Verbraeken (Netherlands) at Flugplatz Kindel in Eisenach, Germany, on 19 June 2012.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest car drift; it measured 5,802 m (19,035 ft 4.74 in) and was achieved by Wang Qi (China) at WDS (World Drift Series), Tianjin, China.

   The following video is the work of Poland's ORLEN Team and driver Kuba Przygonski, together with the help of his 1,068-horsepower Toyota GT86.

  Mr. Przygonski has used the car to set a new world record for fastest drift, at 217.973km/h (136.23mph).
