The Guinness World Records' record for the most people singing live on a radio broadcast is 3,885 and was achieved by The Biggest Band (UK) at Wembley Arena, London, UK.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people dunking cookies at the same time, which is 1,503 people and was achieved by Oreo Argentina (Oreo is a Mondelez International brand) at Parque de la Costa, Tigre, Argentina.

The 296 students and community members gathered on Atwood Mall for the Husky Howl on April 26 to set the new world record.

A minimum of 250 participants was required by Guinness World Records for consideration.

The school's teams are known as the Huskies.

"As our students know, there's no pride like St. Cloud State pride anywhere else in the world," said Lindsey Rogers, marketing coordinator for the Department of Campus Involvement. "And we have the record to prove it."
