Longest Basketball Shot: Corey "Thunder" Law breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)
PHOENIX, AZ, USA -- Harlem Globetrotters rookie Corey "Thunder" Law broke the Guiness World Records' record for "Longest Successful Basketball Shot"... draining an attempt from 109 feet, 9 inches away at U.S. Airways Center, home of the Phoenix Suns; Law, along with Globetrotters teammates Anthony "Buckets" Blakes and "Slick" Willie Shaw, alternated tries for an hour before he knocked one down, setting the new world record for the Longest Basketball Shot,

The Guinness World Records' record for the most players in a basketball exhibition match is 1,464 was achieved by the Fiesta Nacional del Básquet in Estadio Club Estudiantes, Bahia Blanca, Argentina, from 7-9 September 2012.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest game of basketball knockout; it consisted of 571 participants and was achieved by VEISHEA (USA), a student organization at Iowa State University, at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, USA.
Law broke the record at US Airways Center in Phoenix, home of the Phoenix Suns, as part of the ninth annual Guinness World Records Day.
"Wow! It's definitely an honor as a rookie to represent my team, the Harlem Globetrotters, and break the Guinness World Records' record for the world's longest basketball shot," said Thunder.
"The Globetrotters make phenomenal trick shots at our shows every night, so if you want to see more spectacular feats, you have to come out and see us live."

Law, along with Globetrotters teammates Anthony "Buckets" Blakes and "Slick" Willie Shaw, alternated tries for an hour before he knocked one down while Guinness World Records' offiicials watched, The BallerStatus reported.
He broke the previous Guinness World Records' record of 104 ft 7 in (31.9 m), set by former Pepperdine University player Elan Buller in 2011.
