The previous Guinness world record for the most eggs cracked in one minute with one hand was set by a man from Queens, N.Y., who set the old record of 19 eggs.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people dyeing eggs: 317 - achieved at Carowinds (USA) in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
For the attempt at the record, McCurdy had to keep one hand behind his back and crack each egg its own individual bowl, without spilling shells.
Four other people were involved: a photographer, a timer, a witness and someone to videotape the process.
McCurdy and his wife Nikki Nagler-McCurdy manage the Oak Table Café, where chefs can crack up to 1,000 eggs on a busy weekend for use in omelets, scrambled eggs or pancake batter, The Kitsap Sun reported.
"That's really all the practice I needed," said McCurdy, 29, who splits his time between managing and working the restaurant's kitchen.
The father of three girls — ages 6, 5 and 6 weeks — said he teaches his girls if they want to get good at anything, "just keep practicing, no matter how obscure the goal."
