Longest manual on a mountain bike: Zach Hutelin sets world record
SUNRISE, FL, USA -- Plantation biker Hutelin, 16, rode down a strip of road by the model airplane field at Markham Park in Sunrise, riding down his Specialized P3 bicycle for 686.25 feet (209.169 meters) - setting the new world record for the Longest manual on a mountain bike, according to World Record Academy (www.worldrecordacademy.com).

The Guinness world record for the longest manual on a mountain bike is 101.8 m (334 ft) completed by Jim DeChamp (USA) at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, USA, for the MTV show 'Nitro Circus'.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the farthest distance bicycle wheelie in one hour: 16.994 km (10.56 miles), achieved by Francesco Wiedemann (Germany), at the Messehalle Burghausen, in Burghausen, Germany.
A crowd of witnesses including police officers saw it, and surveyors from the Broward County Chapter of the Florida Surveying & Mapping Society were there to verify the distance of his ride.
Hutelin said he decided to try and break the record about two months ago, inspired by the athletes featured on "Nitrus Circus,' an MTV show that features extreme sports challenges.
Hutelin attends American Heritage in Plantation, where he participates in the high jump and track. He is also a volunteer at Markham Park, helping maintain the mountain bike trails.
