Most people bouncing tennis balls: Australia breaks Guinness World Records' record
PARKES, NSW, Australia -- 772 people gathered at the New South Wales town of Parkes to break the Guinness World Records title for most people bouncing tennis balls on tennis racquets in one location; according to an independent team of scrutineers 772 people participated in the attempt and 709 people successfully completed the challenge, setting the new world record for the most people bouncing tennis balls on tennis rackets,
according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness World Records' record for the most people bouncing tennis balls on tennis rackets was 658 achieved by Wilson Racquet Sports (USA) in advance of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, New York, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest table tennis tournament; it was achieved by 2,048 participants in an event organized by the Baiyun Sports Bureau (China) in Guangzhou, China.
Alicia Molik former Australian professional female tennis player and Parkes tennis coach Helen Magill were also there to motivate the participants.
The previous Guinness world record for the most people bouncing tennis balls on tennis racquets in one location was set in New York, just before the US Open in 2011.
Numbered wristbands were distributed to confirm the number of participants, according to an independent team of scrutineers 772 people participated in the attempt and 709 people successfully completed the challenge, the Tennis World reported.
