Most participants blowing conch shells
simultaneously-Sundowners Restaurant sets world record
KEY LARGO, Fla, USA -- One hundred
and twenty-seven people, from children to the elderly, armed
with conch shells and deep breaths, gathered at Sundowners
restaurant to play their conch shells simultaneously
and set the world record for the Most
participants blowing conch shells simultaneously.

The fluted pink-lined shell is a symbol
of the Florida Keys, often called the "Conch Republic."
They have been used for long-distance communication
and maritime signaling devices.
