Most sold pudding: Japanese pudding breaks Guinness world record
TOKYO, Japan -- Pucchin Purin, a pudding produced by Ezaki Glico's affiliate Glico Daily Products Co., sets the new world record for the Most sold pudding, after 5.1 billion units of the custard like product were sold since it hit the market in 1972,
according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest serving of rice pudding weighed 303.74 kg (669 lbs 10 oz) and was achieved by Serres Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Serres, Greece.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most pudding eaten in three minutes: 1.34 kg (2 lb 15 oz) - achieved by Donald Cunningham (USA) at Elizabeth Circle Park in Eustis, Florida, USA.
Pucchin Purin will be sold in a special container from Jan. 21 to mark the record-setting achievement.
Pucchin Purin is produced by Ezaki Glico's affiliate Glico Daily Products Co.
Breaking a small plastic knob on the bottom of the container lets air flow in, making it easy to remove the pudding and slide it cleanly onto a plate.
This playful device was popular among children and helped Pucchin Purin become a long seller.
