The Guinness World records' record for the most people dipping egg soldiers simultaneously is 178 and was achieved by soldiers of the Allied Rapid Response Corps at an attempt organised by Winston's Wish (UK) at Imjin Barracks, Gloucestershire, UK, on 22 January 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people dyeing eggs; it is 582 and was organised by KCMS/SPIRIT 105.3 FM and Redmond Town Center (both USA) in Redmond, Washington, USA.

To make the world record official, people taking part had to dip their toast into their egg and then take four bites.

Witnesses included Justices of the Peace, lawyers and Tauranga city councillors such as Deputy Mayor Kelvin Clout, The Bay of Plenty Times reported.

Student experience co-ordinator Kirsten Crossan said a total of 207 people took part.

Hospitality students cooked the eggs which were donated by Masterton company Henergy. The event was part of a re-orientation campaign.
