Largest Dakos: Cretan Dakos breaks Guinness world record
KOLYMBARI, Greece -- Cretans made a giant dakos, in the shape of the island; it was produced by Fourakis Bakery in Kolymbari in Chania to mark its 30th anniversary; the dakos contained 160 kilos (352.74 pounds) of dough, 50 kilos (110.23 pounds) of mizithra cheese, 100 kilos (220.46 pounds) of tomatoes, 20 kilos (44.09 pounds) of olive oil, and lots of oregano; measuring 7.45 meters, it sets the new world record for the Largest Dakos,
according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness World Records' record for the most pizzas made in one hour by a team is 837 and was achieved by staff from Domino's Pizza Australia and New Zealand at the Domino's Pizza store in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most pizzas made in 24 hours; it is 7,539 and was achieved by Domino's Pizza Bundaberg (Australia) in Queensland, Australia.
The initiative of the creation of the World's Largest Dakos was by the Cultural Club of Chania, named To Rodo (The Rose), according to The Greek Reported.
