Brightest LED Flashlight: Daniel Riley sets world record (VIDEO)
PARK CITY, UT, USA -- By stringing together a series of powerful 100W LEDs, Daniel Riley of Stratus Productions created an ultra-powerful 1000W light that puts out a whopping 90000 lumens, thus setting the new world record for the Brightest LED Flashlight,
according to the World Record Academy.

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest torchlight measures 400 cm (13 ft 1 in) long and 96 cm (3 ft 1 in) in diameter and was created by Zweibrüder Optoelectronics GmbH & Co. KG (Germany). It was presented and measured in Solingen, Germany, on 24 September 2011. The torchlight is an outsized replica of a torchlight sold by the "Led Lenser" brand. It consists of 19 LED´s which is comparable with 250 light bulbs and much for efficient than regular light bulbs. The torch comes to 1000 watts, about as much as a kettle needs.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most flashlights lit simultaneously; it was 70,854 organized by Energizer Holdings, Inc. (USA) at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, on 21 May 2011. The attempt was made by spectators ahead of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. By stringing together a series of powerful 100W LEDs, Riley created an ultra-powerful 1000W light that puts out a whopping 90000 lumens.
The flashlight weighs 10 pounds, is backed by a giant heatsink for dissipating the heat from the lights, and is powered by two batteries that can power the light for about 10 minutes.
