Kochi, India -- K. J. Joseph, manager of an ayurveda centre in Munnar, bettered the Guinness World Records world record of 79 knuckle push-ups (press ups) in a minute set by Ron Cooper of the US by doing 82 push-ups in 60 seconds, according to the World Record Academy. The Guinness World Records world record for the most knuckle push-ups in one minute is 79 and was achieved by Ron Cooper (USA) in Salem, Massachusetts, USA, on 27 June 2015.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people performing push ups simultaneously is 1,286 and was achieved by Intel Corporation (USA) in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, on 11 November 2015.

K.J. Joseph is a total vegan and never hit the gym to prepare his muscles for this gruelling test, Menoramaonline reports.
Joseph, who hails from Chathanthara in Erumely, demonstrated his prowess at Ernakulam Town Hall in front of District Collector M.G. Rajamanickam IAS during a seminar on naturopathy.
