Most consecutive back handsprings: Mikayla Clark breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)
ATLANTA, GA, USA -- Westlake High School junior Mikayla Clark, 16, broke the Guinness World Records' record of most consecutive back handsprings; she did a total of 44 back handsprings, breaking the previous Guinness World Records' record of 36 and setting the new world record for the Most consecutive back springs,

The Guinness World Records' record for the most consecutive backflips on a Russian Bar is 39 and was achieved by the Russian Bar Trio (Canada) on the set of Lo Show Dei Record, in Milan, Italy.
The Guinness world record for the oldest person to perform a backflip is Walter Liesner (Germany, b. 14 January 1913) who was 94 yr 268 days when he performed a backflip into a swimming pool, in Wetzlar, Germany.
Mikayla Clark smashed the previous Guinness World Records' record of 36.
The 16-year-old cheer squad leader had been pursuing this goal since the beginning of football season, said her coach, Ashley Clark.
Mikayla, who's been cheering since age 4, is also a cheerleader for the Georgia All Stars Competition Squad.
On Mikayla's record achievement, coach Clark said, "I'm very proud of her."
