“I was moving so fast the ground was vibrating,”
Taylor said.
Taylor began taking note of his unique ability in 2002.
In 2006, he created the World Speed Brick Breaking Association.
“A
lot of people just like to break bricks and not just do martial
arts,” Taylor said. “So we give them a place to do that.”
Taylor is president of the WSBBA
as well as the founder of Community Fitness in Mount Clemens, a
martial arts and speed brick breaking school, where he is also an
instructor.
He said he uses his “energy” to motivate his students.
“If you have confidence in your instructor, (they) can open up something
in people’s minds and hearts,” Taylor said. “When you’re a true
master of an art, it isn’t what you teach, it’s what people pick
up from your chi.”
Taylor said his next challenge is to break 700 bricks.
