Most people pouring water on their heads simultaneously: St. Augustine breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

The Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum in St. Augustine, Florida, hosted a mass Ice Bucket Challenge to support awareness of Lou Gehrig's disease and to raise funds for charity 430 people dump buckets of ice water on their heads outside the museum, setting the new world record for the most people pouring water on their heads simultaneously,

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest water balloon fight consisted of 8,957 participants and was achieved by Christian Student Fellowship at the University of Kentucky (USA) in Lexington, USA,
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people treading water; it is 469 and was achieved by the Buffalo Triathlon (USA) in Buffalo, Minnesota, USA.
While it was a new record, Guinness World Records still sets a minimum amount of people needed to participate, which is why at least 250 people were needed, The St. Augustine reported.
Each person got a bucket with more than 2 pounds of ice and more than a gallon of water. Ripley's ordered more than 2,000 pounds of ice for the day.
The Ice Bucket Challenge funds research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
The challenge involves people getting buckets of ice water dumped on them, posting video online and challenging others to do the same in an effort to raise ALS awareness, according to the ALS Association.
People can accept the challenge, make a donation to an ALS charity or do both.
