Largest Human Christmas Tree: Kerala breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)
Chengannur, India -- Chengannur: Kerala set a new World Record for the largest 'human Christmas tree' in the world at Chengannur; the 'tree' was made by 4030 people who gathered at the municipality stadium here under the auspices of Mission Chengannur, according to the World Record Academy. The Guinness World Records world record for the largest human number consisted of 3,853 participants and was achieved in an event organised by KidZania Cairo (Egypt) in Cairo, Egypt, on 25 October 2014.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest human maple leaf consists of 404 people, achieved by Minowa Town (Japan) in Minowa, Nagano, Japan, on 6 September 2015.
The attempt broke a Guinness World records world record that was set at Honduras in 2014 in when 2945 people took part.
People, including school students, took part in the programme and occupied places at designated spot wearing attires in different colours.
After the event was flagged off by Mission Chengannur chair, Shobhana George, the tree was 'set up' in five minutes.
