Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Scientists: world record set by VWR
RADNOR, PA, USA -- During the Supplier Awards event at its annual American Sales Conference in Orlando, Florida, a total of 1,139 employees and suppliers of VWR (acquired by Avantor in 2017) participated by sporting a white lab coat, goggles and gloves while holding various scientific items, thus setting the new world record for the Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Scientists, according to the World Record Academy.

During the Supplier Awards event at its annual American Sales Conference in Orlando, Florida, a total of 1,139 employees and suppliers participated by sporting a white lab coat, goggles and gloves while holding various scientific items.

The GUINNESS WORLD RECORD (TM) for the The largest gathering of people dressed as scientists is 893, and was achieved by USANA Health Sciences (USA) in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, on 16 August 2017.
GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS (TM) also recognized the world record for most people dressed as Smurfs; it is 2,510 and was achieved by Jokers' Masquerade with the help of Swansea University at Swansea Oceana in Swansea, UK, on 8th June 2009.
