The Guinness World Records' record for the largest gathering of people dressed as penguins is 373 and was achieved by Richard House (UK) at City Hall, London, UK, for Guinness World Records Day, on 12 November 2014.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as fruits; it is 404 and was achieved by Bund Badicher Landjugend (Germany) at Freiburg, Germany on 8 November 2014. Nearly 900 people waddled to Phillip Island Nature Parks — home of the world-famous Penguin Parade — on March 7 to shatter the Guinness World Record set by a London children's hospice in 2014.
The number of participants more than doubled the Richard House's record of 373.
The successful attempt also raised money for the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
