Largest gathering of Santa's elves: Wetherby breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)
WETHERBY, UK -- The Guinness World Records' record for the largest gathering of Santa's elves was broken at Stockeld Park; more than 1,110 people dressed as elves have taken part in the record attempt at Stockeld Park, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, which raised funds for local children's hospice Martin House, while setting the new world record for the Largest gathering of Santa's elves,

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest gathering of Santa's elves consisted of 762 participants and was achieved by Ammanford Town Centre (UK) in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, UK, on 17 November 2012.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most letters to Santa collected in 24 hours is 1,555 letters and was achieved by members of the public in an event organised by Crispy Milky Kids Activities (Latvia) at the Galerija Azur shopping centre in Riga, Latvia.
Elves of all ages donned special green shirts and festive hats to help raise hundreds of pounds to support Martin House Children's Hospice at the weekend, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported.
All proceeds from the event at at Stockeld Park, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, will go to local children's hospice Martin House.
More than 1,110 people dressed as elves have taken part in the World Record for the largest gathering of Santa's helpers.
The previous Guinness World Records' record was 762 elves gathered in one place.
