AL BIDYA, UAE--At just 88cm (2ft 8in), Sergeant Aisha Al Hamoudi, 31, from the Al Bidya police
- sets the world record for the Shortest policewoman, according to World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the First female TV cop star was set by Decoy (aka Police Woman: Decoy), a US series syndicated in 1957–58, starred Beverly Garland (USA) as undercover policewoman Patricia "Casey" Jones.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the shortest ever female, set by Pauline Musters, known as Princess Pauline (Netherlands). A post mortem examination showed her to be exactly 61 cm (24 in) (there was some elongation after death).

A member of the Employing Special Needs Institute in Al Ain, where she graduated, her ambition is to use the recognition the world record would bring to give back to the special needs community.

Speaking during a Women's Police Conference in Abu Dhabi, Hamoudi said that she aspires to study further to grow in her profession.
She said, "The centres of the Ministry of Interior for the rehabilitation and recruiting of those with special needs have done a great job of supporting me, my education and allowing me to join the Fujairah Police."

"The institute gave me the opportunity and choice of working for the police, Etisalat or army. As I am a people person, I chose the police as I feel it is the establishment closest to the people."

Police work runs in the family. Another of Aisha's brothers is a first assistant with the force, and all three are following in the footsteps of their father, a retired officer who also worked at Al Bidya station.
