The previous Guinness world record for the most half courts shots made in one minute was seven, previously held by Washington State student Charlie Vernon.
Guinness World Records also recognized the Longest distance dribbling a basketball in 24 hours:177.5km (110.29 miles) by Suresh Joachim (Australia) at Elmbank Community Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The Guinness World Record for the longest time to spin a basketball on a toe is 9.53 seconds by Jack Ryan (USA) at the NBA All-Star Jam Session, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
It appeared Valentin was struggling, but a late rally -- not to mention the last-second run-off make -- redeemed the video and earned him a new world record.
Dieters will take another shot at the mark Feb. 5 during the Loras College-University of Dubuque game at Stoltz Sports Center.
