   Most dreidles spinning simultaneously: Tel Aviv breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)
   
   TEL AVIV, Israel -- A new World Record was set this Chanukah, when over 1,000 people came together to spin the dreidel in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv; the dreidels had to spin for at least 10 seconds simultaneously, which they did, setting the new world record for the  Most dreidles spinning simultanously, according to the World Record Academy.
1000 Jews gathered together in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv for the annual dreidel spinning event but this year was special. This year they got into the Book of World Records for having the most people spinning a dreidel at the same time for ten seconds.

    The Guinness World Records world record for the most dreidles spinning simultaneously for at least 10 seconds is 734, and was achieved by United Synagogue Youth (USA), in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, on 28 December 2011.

   Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people spinning a basketball simultaneously; it is 132 and was achieved by the Alexandria Aces Performance Basketball Team (USA) in Alexandria, Minnesota, USA, on 27 December 2014.

    A new World Record was set this Chanukah, when over 1,000 people came together to spin the dreidel in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv.

   The dreidel, a four-sided spinning top, is the ubiquitous symbol of Hanukkah and is popular with Jews worldwide.

    Playing with the dreidel is a traditional Hanukkah game played in Jewish homes all over the world, and rules may vary.

    Adults and children, wrapped warmly in the evening air, positioned themselves at long wooden tables for the attempted feat.

    The dreidels had to spin for at least 10 seconds simultaneously, which they did.
