Longest Flag Football Game: Fraternity breaks Guinness world record
CLEVELAND, TN, USA --A new world record for the longest played game of continuous flag football was set when Lee University's Alpha Gamma Chi reached 50 hours, while raising money for People for Care and Learning's Build a City project in Cambodia, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the longest marathon playing flag football lasted 24 hr and was achieved by the Mercy Project (USA) at Veteran's Park in College Station, Texas, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest marathon controlling a football: 26 hours, achieved by Dan Magness (UK) during an event organized by Muse Production Limited at Olympian City, Hong Kong.
"It feels incredible," Taylor Trotter, club president, said for the Cleveland Daily Banner, following the game's completion.
According to the Guinness World Records guidelines, active players received five minutes of rest for every hour played. Breaks could be saved up to six hours for a 30-minute break. One of these breaks was used to make the move to the soccer field.
Supporters from Lee University students to community residents kept participants company during the long hours. Lee Greek clubs signed up to take shifts throughout the day and night.
Players agreed the hardest part was continuing to play in the freezing cold without music and minimal support.
What brought participants through was the thought of raising money for People for Care and Learning's Build a City project in Cambodia.
The project is striving to build a city complete with everything from a marketplace to a health clinic in the third world country.
