Most people throwing chefs hats at once: Belgium sets world record
Brussels, Belgium -- A gathering of 617 chefs managed to throw their hats in the air
simultaneously at the Grand Place in Brussels - setting the new world record for the Largest gathering of people throwing chefs hats, according to World Record Academy (www.worldrecordacademy.com).

The Guinness world record for the Oldest Michelin star chef was set by Jiro Ono, owner and chef of sushi restaurant 'Sukiyabashi Jiro´ in Tokyo, Japan; at the age of 83, he is the world´s oldest Michelin three star chef.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest working career of a TV chef belongs to Eva Vicenta Uranga Roig Vda. de Zarate (Mexico) or 'Mrs Zarate' as she is known, who presented her first cookery show, Cocina Al Minuto (Televisora Tapatia, Mexico) on 1 December 1960. She currently presents the same show (under the different name) Hasta La Cocina (Televisa Guadalajara Co., Mexico) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The launch of the Brussels's Year of Gastronomy was introduced to the public with the help of the most famous chefs and cooking staffs from Brussels.
This meeting had another goal, to beat the former Guinness world record of the most numerous people throwing their chef's hat to the air.
Free waffles and hot chocolate were distributed to the public.
