  Largest Measuring Cup: World Kitchen breaks Guinness World Records record

  
CHICAGO, IL, USA -- To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Pyrex, World Kitchen officials unveiled a 7-foot high measuring cup at the International Home and Housewares Show; the cup is approximately 3,000 cups large and more than 1,500 times the size of the iconic 2-cup measuring cup, owned by cooking enthusiasts worldwide,
setting the new world record for the Largest Measuring Cup, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

  The Guinness World Records' record for the largest cup of hot chocolate contained 3,331.16 l (732.753 gal, 880 US gal) and was achieved by The Festival of Chocolate and the Museum of Science and Industry (USA) in Tampa, Florida, USA, on 21 January 2013.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest dice cup; it is made from leather and measures 91.5 cm (3 ft) tall with a diameter of 75 cm (2 ft 5 in) at the top and 58 cm (1 ft 10 in) at the bottom of the cup. It was created by 50 saddlers of the Jungmeisterkreis Sattler (all Germany) in Gersthofen, Germany, on 21 January 2011.

    The World's Largest Measuring Cup is approximately 3,000 cups large and more than 1,500 times the size of the iconic 2-cup measuring cup, owned by cooking enthusiasts worldwide.

   To stay true to the Pyrex brand heritage, the Largest Measuring Cup in the World was made in the U.S.A. The world record cup features the familiar red markings and is made out of acrylic.
   
   The cup was unveiled during an anniversary celebration hosted by the Pyrex brand, which featured a toast by Kris Malkoski, North American president of World Kitchen.

   The World's Largest Measuring Cup was created as part of the 100th anniversary celebration for the Pyrex brand and will make unexpected appearances throughout the country in 2015.

   The limited edition centennial product line includes colorful measuring cups, storage bowls and pie plates that feature fresh takes on vintage designs much loved from the 50's and 60's.
