The
previous Guinness world record for the Longest
rubber band chain was 5,170 feet.
"I did it for fun," she said. "I just started
to tie them together. I looked up the record and figured it
was short enough where I could beat it."
Allison keeps the rubber bands wrapped
around a large wooden stand her grandfather made for her.
"I'll probably keep them until they start rotting
and fall apart," she said.
