LONDON, UK -- More than 40,000 brightly coloured postcards were laid down by volunteers from Santander, Opus Energy and Manheim Auctions in the shape of a rainbow to create a spectacular mosaic design; the finished project measured a massive 30.05 metres by 21.2 metres, making a total area of over 630m² and setting the new world record for the Largest postcard mosaic,

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest postcard mosaic measures 453.37 m² (4,880 ft²) and was created by students from The Camford International School (India), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, on 22 April 2013.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest greetings card mosaic; it measures 150.04 square metres and was achieved by New World Development Company Limited (Hong Kong) in Hong Kong, China, on 23 November 2014. A team of more than 40 volunteers have helped Rainbows Hospice in its attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest postcard mosaic.
