Most popular car color: Silver - 2010's most popular car color
WILMINGTON, Del., USA--The 2010 DuPont Global Automotive Color Popularity Report, now in its 58th year, analysed information and trends from 11 automotive regions around the world and concluded
that a full 26% of cars globally are painted silver, followed closely by black with 24%, which means that silver sets the new world record for the Most popular car color.

Rounding out the top five are white and grey, tied at 16%, and red, at 6%.
"Our annual global color analysis allows DuPont to share insights into global color trends with automakers as they're planning future vehicle designs," said Nancy Lockhart, DuPont color marketing manager.
In North America, white or pearl color retained its lead for the fourth year in a row, with 21 percent popularity share, a trend attributed to preferences in light truck and SUV markets.
Meanwhile, Europeans prefer black autos over all others, giving the color a 24% market share. Gray is five percentage points behind with 19%, and silver has fallen to 17% popularity in Europe.
In South America, silver captured a full 1/3 of the market, while in Asian markets, light neutrals lead in popularity.

Guinness World Records recognized the most people to polish a car simultaneously world record: 69; it was achieved by participants from MEC UK (UK), at the World Trade Centre in Barcelona, Spain.
The Guinness world record for the youngest stock car racer was set by Amanda 'A.K' Stroud (USA)(b. 21 March 1989) who was a regular competitor in the Papa John's Pizza Pro-Cup racing division at Hickory Motor Speedway, North Carolina, USA, during the 2001 racing season, aged 12.
Guinness World Records also recognized The largest car seat, which measures 3.4 m (11 ft 2 in) high, 2.17 m (7 ft 2 in) wide and 2.54 m (8 ft 4 in) deep; it was made for the Lust am Auto Exhibition in Mannheim, Germany.
