Taking cues from City Mayor Peter Miguel, the riders simultaneously started their engines at around 10:20 a.m. and later sounded their horns simultaneously.
"This is a historic day for the city and a great achievement for the people of Koronadal and the entire Region 12," Miguel said after the world record attempts.

The event was witnessed by thousands of residents and visitors, and was streamed live through the city's official website.
