The Guinness world record for the most cars washed in eight hours at multiple venues is 4,334 and was achieved by CARSTAR during the Soaps It Up! National Car Wash Fundraiser event.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Most cars hurdled in one hour, set by Jeff Clay (USA), who jumped over 101 cars - clearing their roofs completely - in one hour at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, USA.

The Maungatapere museum is owned by a family trust set up by the late Graeme Craw who began collecting in the 1950s.

The Packard and Pioneer Museum is touted as New Zealand's best kept secret and is thought to be the largest private collection in the country, the Whangarei Leader reported.

It shows the evolution of the Packard car which is known as America's Rolls Royce, and has more than 250 other vehicles and artefacts from pioneer New Zealand.
