The Guinness World Records' record for the largest bottle of cooking oil measures 5.12 m (16 ft 8 in) tall and contains 3,212 litres (706.54 gal) of camellia oil. It was verified at an event organised by the Pingyuan County Committee of the Communist Party of China and People's Government of Pingyuan County in Pingyuan County, Guangdong Province, China.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest bottle of whiskey; it measured 1.52 m (5 ft) tall with a diameter of 48.5 cm (19 in) and it is a scaled-up replica of a plastic mini Jack Daniel's bottle. It contained 184 litres (40.47 gal, 48.61 US gal) and was created by Jack Daniel's (USA) and presented at South Street Seaport in New York, New York, USA.

The World's largest bottle of motor oil measures about 90 inches high and 40 inches long and it holds 220 gallons, said Glen Schlickenmeyer, co-owner of the auto shop with his brother, Mike.

The shop keeps the giant bottle in a bay and uses it for oil changes. Customers like it. Some get their photos taken next to it.

"I think it's going to be a gradual thing," Schlickenmeyer said, but it's already helped business.

The store had its best August in more than three years, The Hampton Roads reported.
