  Longest ramp jump by a truck cab: Gregg Godfrey breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

   BUTTE, MO, USA -- Gregg Godfrey reset the world record for the longest semi-truck jump ever at 166 feet at Evel Knievel Days in Butte, Montana; the length of the jump is 166 feet or 50.59 metres; Gregg Godfrey confessed that he had hoped to go 140 feet but ended up going over 160 feet away, setting the new world record for the Longest ramp jump by a truck cab, according to the World Record Academy.

  The Guinness World Records' record for the longest ramp jump by a truck cab measured 15.39 m (50 ft 6 in) and was completed by Gregg Godfrey (USA) at Godfrey Trucking/Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, on 17 November 2008 for the MTV show 'Nitro Circus´.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest pickup truck ramp jump; it is 91 m 74 cm (301 ft) and was achieved by Johnny Greaves (USA) at the La Posta Truck Trail in Campo, California, USA, on 18 December 2009.

     The previous Guiness World Records world record is held by the Lotus F1 Team. The jump they have documented as the official world record stands at 83 feet and 7 inches or 25.8 metres.

     Gregg Godfrey, the driver of the truck was astonished at how far he managed to jump the truck. He confessed that he had hoped to go 140 feet but ended up going over 160 feet away.

     Godfrey told Yahoo News that "I hit so hard, I think I'm concussed. I don't think I'm all there" shortly after the jump.
