Most people exercising to a fitness video: Widnes Vikings smash Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)
WIDNES, UK -- An incredible 3,400 people joined a giant keep fit session on Select Stadium pitch and set a new world record; children joined forces with police officers, Disney characters and residents from across Halton to launch the Big Viking Health Kick Off; they broke a Guinness World Records record set in Bejing in 2013 for the most number of people exercising to a fitness video, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The previous Guinness World Records record was recorded in Beijing, China, in 2013 and was achieved by the Organising Committee of the National Community Care Campaign (China). The Guinness World Records' record for the most people exercising to a fitness video is 2,958 participants and was achieved by the Organizing Committee of the National Community Care Campaign (China), in Beijing, China, on 28 September 2013.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest dance fitness class; it involved 6,630 participants and was achieved at an event organised by the Gobierno Delegacional de Iztapalapa (Mexico), at the Plaza de la Constitución, Mexico City, Mexico, on 25 March 2012. "There were people of all ages and abilities joining in, including toddlers, pensioners and the disabled," the Runcord and Widnes reported.
Widnes Vikings, NHS Halton CCG and Halton Borough Council joined forces to stage an official World Record Attempt involving local businesses, school children and Halton residents.
Cheers went up around the ground as the China Guinness World Records' world record of 2,958 was well and truly smashed.
Everyone taking part received free tickets to tonight's Super League season opener with Wigan Warriors.
The event was organised in partnership with NHS Halton Clinical Commissioning Group and Halton Council to raise awareness about the importance of keeping track of your blood pressure.
