  Greatest distance run on a treadmill in 12 hours: Jonathan Kinder breaks Guinness World Records record
   
   DERBY, UK -- Jonathan Kinder, a Rolls-Royce worker, ran more than 82 miles in just 12 hours in Derby city centre smashing a Guinness World records word record and setting the new world record for Greatest distance run on a treadmill in 12 hours, according to the World Record Academy.

Jonathan Kinder's distance of 82.58 miles broke the Guinness World Record by almost 1km when he completed the treadmill challenge in Derby's Cornmarket.

 The Guinness World Records world record for the greatest distance run on a treadmill in 24 hours by a mixed team is 437.7 km (271.97 miles) by the members of Forest School (UK) at the Forest School in London, UK, on 4 July to 5 July 2012.

     Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the fastest 100km on a treadmill by a team; it is 5 hours 1 minute 20 seconds, achieved by High Performance Running Team (Belgium) in Lokeren, Belgium, on 14 December 2013.


    Jonathan Kinder's distance of 82.58 miles broke the Guinness World Record by almost 1km when he completed the treadmill challenge in Derby's Cornmarket.

    He took just nine minutes of rest during the epic endurance test – each time for brief toilet breaks.

   Jonathan, 47, of Chapter Close, Oakwood, raised £3,000 for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, in Loughborough.
