Longest selfie stick: Ben Stiller broke Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)
London, UK -- Ben Stiller broke a Guinness World Record for the longest selfie stick; the actor, with help from his co-stars Owen Wilson and Penelope Cruz, posed for the picture using a selfie stick measuring 8.56m (28ft 1in), thus setting the new world record for the Longest selfie stick, on the red carpet of the Zoolander 2 premiere in London, according to the World Record Academy.
The Guinness World Records world record for the longest self photographs (selfies) relay chain involved 586 participants, achieved by Meizu Technology Co., Ltd (China), in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China on 10 January 2016.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most selfies (self-portraits) taken simultaneously was 4,296 achieved at an event organized by Nathan's Famous Hotdogs (USA) at Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri, USA on May 16 2015.
Ben Stiller broke the world record for the longest ever selfie stick at the London premiere of Zoolander 2.
The actor, with help from his co-stars Owen Wilson and Penelope Cruz, posed for the picture using a selfie stick measuring 8.56m (28ft 1in).
He joked: "This was another dream of mine as a child. "I wanted to appear on the cover of Vogue and also to break the world selfie stick record."
Stiller, 50, is back as model Derek Zoolander 15 years after the original movie was released.
