Most people dressed as sunflowers: Thorndown School set world record
St Ives, Cambridgeshire, UK -- 229 pupils and staff at Thorndown Infant and Junior Schools in St Ives dressed up as sunflowers - setting the new world  record for the Most people dressed as sunflowers.

The previous Guinness world record for the most people dressed as sunflowers was 116 set at The Nursery on the Green in London, UK.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people dressed as Robin Hood: 1,119 at Castle Green, Nottingham, UK.
School business manager Helen Cooper came up with the idea to go for a world record after looking through the World Record book with her son.
Pupils and staff created their own sunflower head-dresses and green trousers handmade by parents and grandparents with material donated by the PTA were sold for the occasion.
The sale of the trousers raised £260 which will go to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation.
